Why a services firm builds a platform.
Every serious delivery firm eventually faces a choice: rebuild the same foundations on every engagement, or build them once, properly, and improve them continuously. We chose the second. The result is that client engagements start from tested infrastructure, and the lessons of every production deployment flow back into the platform rather than evaporating when a project ends.
This is also, frankly, a discipline mechanism. Advice ages badly when the advisor never has to live with it. Running our own platform in production keeps our consulting honest.
