Stop automating processes that should not exist.
AI changed the economics of modernization twice over: it removes process steps rather than accelerating them, and it cuts the cost of the modernization work itself. Most programs have priced in neither.
Two generations of getting this wrong.
The first generation was RPA: scripts imitating humans clicking through interfaces. It paved the cow path, hard-coded yesterday’s process, and broke whenever a screen changed. Plenty of enterprises are still paying maintenance on it.
The second generation was the replatforming program: multi-year, nine figures, recreating the same workflows on newer infrastructure. The workflows survived; only the technology underneath them changed.
Both shared an assumption that the process itself was fixed. AI breaks that assumption. When a system can read an unstructured document, apply a policy, and handle the exception, entire steps disappear. The right question is no longer how to run the process faster. It is which parts of the process still need to exist.
What we do.
Process reinvention
Workflows redesigned around what AI can own outright, with human checkpoints placed where judgement genuinely changes outcomes. Fewer steps, not faster steps.
Legacy modernization, AI-accelerated
Analysis, documentation, and migration of legacy codebases using the same technology we deploy for clients. The cost curve on this work has fallen sharply, and the timelines with it.
RPA replacement
Brittle bots replaced with agents that tolerate variation, read unstructured input, and escalate what they cannot resolve, instead of failing silently at 2 a.m.
Document and data modernization
Decades of unstructured documents turned into structured, governed, AI-ready assets.
Back-office transformation
Finance, procurement, HR, and operations workflows rebuilt AI-first, measured against their current cost.
How we run it.
Landscape scan
AI-assisted analysis of systems, processes, and cost baselines. Weeks, not the six-month discovery phase this work used to require.
Disposition, honestly
Rebuild, retire, wrap, or leave alone, for every asset. Not everything deserves modernization, and a firm that recommends modernizing everything is billing you, not advising you.
AI-first redesign
Target workflows redesigned around autonomous execution, reviewed with the people who run them today.
Incremental delivery
Value ships from the first quarter. No big-bang cutover, because we have seen what happens to those.
Tracked decommissioning
Legacy cost leaves the P&L on a schedule we track with you. Modernization that never retires anything is just addition.
