Agents that are accountable for finished work.
We build agents scoped to one workflow at a time, integrated with the systems where that work actually lives, and measured against what the work costs you today.
A distinction worth making.
The market calls almost everything an agent. Most of what ships is a chat interface with retrieval: useful for questions, structurally incapable of finishing work. An agent, as we build them, is different. It has a defined scope of work, access to the systems that work requires, rules for when it acts alone and when it escalates, and a log of every decision it makes. It is closer to a well-trained new hire with a narrow job description than to a chatbot.
That framing changes what you evaluate. You do not ask whether the demo is impressive. You ask what percentage of the work volume it completes correctly, what its error profile looks like against the human baseline, and what an exception costs when it escalates.
Where agents are earning their keep.
Document workflows
Extraction, classification, validation, and routing across invoices, claims, contracts, KYC files. High volume, verifiable output, immediate baseline comparison.
Operational triage
Tickets, alerts, exceptions, first-notice-of-loss. The sorting and enrichment is rules-heavy; the difficult calls escalate with full context attached.
Reconciliation and back office
Matching, exception handling, and follow-up chasing across systems that were never designed to talk to each other.
Service resolution
L1 and much of L2, including WhatsApp and Meta channels, with clean handoff when a human should own the conversation.
Recurring research and reporting
Compliance monitoring, periodic reporting, market watch. Work that is important, repetitive, and chronically understaffed.
How an engagement runs.
Workflow study
We sit with the people doing the work. Inputs, rules, exceptions, systems touched, and the places where experience actually changes the outcome. This takes days, not months, but skipping it is why most agents disappoint.
Scope and guardrails
What the agent owns, what it escalates, what it may never do. Written down, agreed, and enforced in the architecture.
Build on the platform
Agents are assembled on the Sprouto Agent Platform, which carries the framework, evaluation harness, and audit layer, so engineering time goes into your workflow rather than plumbing.
Parallel run
The agent works the same queue as your current process while we compare accuracy, speed, and cost per task. Nothing replaces anything until the numbers say it should.
Production and review
Live traffic, monitored continuously, reviewed with you on a set cadence. Scope expands when performance earns it.
What we would tell you before you buy anything.
Agents fail for predictable reasons: scope defined by what the technology can do rather than what the workflow needs, no baseline measurement, and escalation paths designed as an afterthought. If a vendor cannot tell you their agent’s exception rate and what happens to those exceptions, they have not run one in production.
